Are you using those books as body armour? Nope. Those parts of my anatomy are considered non-essential.B)
Are you using those books as body armour? Not body armour, but probably brain armour. I have a touch of ADHD, remember ? Am absolutely crap at doing nothing.
This is the book case in the office. I have three bodies more like these two in the living room. And this is my wargames and general sh!t locker. Can you appreciate the joys of a divorced life now? View attachment 28505 At the right corner of the last pick is an unbuilt kit of a Beaufighter flying model, but that's another story

This is my holiday bookcase: Not a lot of WW II books, but as you can see, I'm not done with Sir Alfred Price yet, and there is still half to go of the Tamelander (translated) The War on Western Europe. On the other hand, I found this one in the grocery shop on the quay of this little island in the Swedish archpelago: The German author is Guido Knopp and original title is Die Gefangenen. It's a story about the 11 million German POWs after the WW II. I plan to read and review it during my next tour to the sand-box. Unaware of whether it's available in English, though.

I love The Hardest Day, my fave BofB book. I've got to read Day of the Jackal as it is suppose to be excellent.

I found this about him on Wiki, SB what does the title you mention translate as cheers ,Jason. Guido Knopp - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Amazon lists the original Die Gefangenen but no English translation, I'm afraid. Think I will read and review this one anyway as it looks interesting. Quite a bit about being a POW in the UK.
Just before I pack them all away for moving, here's my PsyWar and 'secret war' related bookcase. Now I'll know at least if any of the books going walkies during the move!
A fellow member thought this would be a good idea and asked me to start things off. Ok H? Sorry the photos aren't great. Guess which books belong to the missus (she has the small section). This is my first bookcase out of two (second later depending if this thread survives). P.S. I need a bigger house and more bookcases! LoL dude, whats with the Twilight book I've got far too many books for my own good, once I get a few more shelves and some semblance of order I'll post my own pictures.

Well here are mine then, first two are in the old house, before and after packing! Remainder is in my new (and very small) study! Regards Andy
Andrea could learn a lot from those 'Then and Now' pictures Andy I can only see one book there that I've read- Para! Read it years ago and if I remember correctly it was rather good. Cheers Andy

I have not seen any English translations of Guido Knopp's books, but he is a prolific Historical writer with regards to WW2. One of my daughters presented the book to me for a birthday present last year. I have not read it cover to cover, but what I have read is well presented. Some interesting photographs from the camps in the USA. I never realised just how many POW camps were located in the USA, every state except Nevada. Regards Tom
