    Later that day we went to Crepon, where Ken Cooke (ex-7th Bn) was able to see the memorial to his old regiment, the Green Howards.

    Quite a few people stopped to chat with us, including this British military vehicle enthusiasts.

    Including this American couple who were very emotional about meeting the veterans. They had been motoring around trying to find some British vets to say 'thanks' - which the Vets greatly appreciated.

    We then travelled via Tilly to Fontenay le Pesnel, and visiting the 49th (West Riding) Division memorial.

    Captain Cyril Howarth had fought with 69th Field Regt RA, of that division, from Normandy until he was taken prisoner in Holland in October 1944.

    We ended the day on Hill 112.

    Ken Smith fought here with 5th DCLI, 43rd (Wessex) Division.
