    Hi Sean,

I've sent you a PM with a contact from whom you should get a photo (for no charge).

    Cheers - Rob

There's always CWGC's War Graves Photographic Project ;)

Photos from the above site have to be paid for. Great for singles and if no other alternative is available. They are also subject to copyright and don't like you to publish them. It is also not CWGC's, but done in association with them.

We try if possible to see if one can be obtained for free, which Forum Member Bucklt can do. He has almost all of the photos from the Far East.

Original/pre-edit versions below, FTR, in case no action taken on my reporting of this clumsy attempt to falsify history (a la 'Minitrue'*) as an unwarranted attempt to discredit me.

    Hi Sean,

    I've sent you a PM.

    Cheers - Rob

Perhaps you think me thick but yes, I had guessed the nature of your PM - as nominating sources who might help but without wishing to publicly obligate them. But that being so and there still remaining the possibility of that/those undeclared source(s) proving vain, I merely added an 'if all else fails' alternative for completeness - pardon my temerity for trying to help!

Despite later edits evidently implying that I should have known, it should be noted that Sean made no mention of any intention to publish or reluctance to pay if need be - maybe you should also have added recognition of these factors whilst 'adjusting' post 2! Did you also PM him to invite collusion in your little deception? Was I unreasonably supposed to have researched the back-story of Sean's project, beyond this thread, before posting? I may have failed ESP at school but don't expect me to appreciate petty one-upmanship attempts from individuals many years my junior. :glare:

Sorry for having gate-crashed your now-apparent clique but your edits did throw down the proverbial gauntlet!

    Excuse me!!!!

The reason for me sending Sean a PM, is to give him Forum Member Bucklt's e-mail address, as this is the way he deals with requests.

Putting e-mail addresses within the public Forum attracts spammers, which is something no one wants. So as for keeping things private because of some so called clique, you are completely and utterly wrong.

Do please pay attention ... did I not say, "I had guessed the nature of your PM - as nominating sources who might help but without wishing to publicly obligate them" and "apparent clique"? - that last, FTR, intended to provide you with a 3rd-party impression easily got w/o ESP. Or would you have perhaps preferred "compromise" to "obligate"? Maybe I should just take a leaf out of your book to go back and tweak that for you?

To précis my case, I resent your post 4 challenging my post 3 as unnecessary, inappropriate &/or misinformed confounded by afterthought edits apparently intended to bolster your correctness in doing so. Picking around the edge of this core issue doesn't seem particularly constructive to me.

I'm really not interested in reading your bitching about an edited post.
Really pointless in continuing as it's not helping Sean one bit & that's what we're trying to do here.

It's alovely day today I'm off out in the garden.
