Yet another T-34 recovered

    Perhaps this has been noted here before and my apologies if it has but there is an interesting webshots site that i like to check out every once in a while. It's summitphotographics's photos and albums on webshots

    Many of you no doubt have seen it before as it hosts numerous photos taken by German soldiers while on the eastern front.

    Most recently there was a new album added which is a series of shots taken by I believe the person who owns the shots, of the recovery of a T-34 from a swamp somewhere in Russia. It's quite amazing the condition of this vehicle. There appears to be almost no corrosion to it or it's contents.

    Doesn't ring a bell for me Stig - nice one.
    Though it's certainly true there seems to be no shortage of the old dears being pulled out of Sov-block swamps.

    Why do we hear so much about the Germans whining about a little rasputitsa stopping their offensives, but never about the Russians grumbling for having their armour gobbled alive?

    Probably cos they didnt give a **** 3 more waiting to replace it.....
