I would be most grateful if anyone can tell me the whereabouts of XI Corps, during July and August 1942.

In particular, I am interested in 11 Corps Troops Ammunition Company, RASC.

    Any help appreciated!

Thought they were responsible for the defence of the Suffolk coast from 1940 to 1943. 11 Corps, that is.

That's pretty close. My Dad's unit were under command 11 Corps before going to 1 Corp in late 1943. In July, they were involved in 11 Corp Exercises Bury & Limpet in the Colchester, Braintree and Chelmsford area and in August went on A.D.G.B. duties in Ipswich.

I recommend getting the war diary of that RASC unit for specific details.
