    The Second world war experience centre (SWWEC) A Registered Charity Exists to collect and encourage access to the surviving testimony of men and women who lived through the years of the Second World War and to ensure that different audiences share and learn from the personal recollections preserved in the collection.

    We have over 9,000 lives recorded in the Archive and hundreds of thousands of documents, photographs, diaries etc.

    We are actively recording more memories and accepting accessions self recorded, or documents and memories to the archive.
    We produce free or at cost educational material for schools and are a resource university students, authors, the media ( frequent material for the BBC, other documentaries, magazines and books)
