Am Currently researching the Roll of Honour (some 59 names in total)for my old school - Prince of Wales School, Nairobi previously known as Nairobi School (& now reverted back to that name

I have a list of some names of which had obvious RAF connections, these have been posted on RAF Commands Forum and to date have had a Superb response on that Forum - Thanks Guys

My prime sources for my research so far has been the CD list of the school magazine ' The Impala' (from Old Cambrian Society - Prince of Wales School/Nairobi School) and the CWGC but am looking for any extra info that is available

Another source is Malcolm Page's - KAR, a History of the Kings African Rifles, unfortunately a few years back I rashly lent out my copy of 'Charging Buffalo - a History of the Kenya Regiment' with the usual result!!!

Anyway below are listed the ARMY names I have and would appreciate any information

    Thanks in Advance

    Hi PZULBA,

    A daunting task ahead.

Looking at the first one Aggett, there seems to be some Google info on his early life and his subsequent death however I am sure you would have this already.

Interesting to see a photo of him here:
Nairobi School Rugby Team - 1931

The Kenya Regiment Association ROH looks really good (Bottom of page)

    Pzulba,

Are you still around and active? I have been tasked with trying to sort out a Roll of Honour for Pembroke House School, which has two (possibly three) overlaps that I know of with the PoW/Nairobi School (interesting the name changes... I always thought it was the PoW and then became Nairobi School after Independence in 1963). I have also lumped in the Kenya regiment Roll of Honour as many of them will have come through one of the few government schools in Kenya at that time. Still working on what schools they could/would have been.

    The people I have are:
    1. J.C. Aronson -killed on 6th March 1944, aged 22 with the SAAF (40 Squadron) and whose memorial is in Malta (don't have much more info on him at this stage). He is not on your list, but is an ex-Pembrokian, but not necessarily from the PoW.
    2. R.W. Davis -with 5 KAR, killed on 17th Jan 1942. This is also tenuous at this stage, as the Old Pembrokian is simply R. Davis at this stage, as opposed to the PoWs Ralph William Davis.
    3. M.N. Matthias -killed on 2nd April 1945 in Austria. He was definitely an Old Pembrokian.
The other anomaly we have is a teacher at Pembroke 'Dickie' Dyson (apparently Richard, which makes obvious sense, but not sure whether that came from an assumption based on him being called 'Dickie' or noT). He was apparently in the Battle of Britain where he died, but have drawn an absolute blank there.

I found a couple of mistakes in your list, but you having researched this a while back, may well be ahead of all of this, and so won't go into details now.
