Basic, but it does the job. Any day now I'll get left in peace to go take hundreds of new photos to add to it, with a bit of luck..........

Well as said before my site is The Few Good Men.

Are you guys all ok for me to provide links to your websites. And perhaps you could do me the honour of adding a link to mine. :)

Everyone who drops me a PM will get their link added to my site. Thanks.

Here is my website; one of two about the Maginot Line in English and the only one about the combat of May and June 1940.

The Home Guard in general but with emphasis on West Midlands units:
South Staffs Home Guard Welcome Page

(Also contains some other non-HG history - WW2 Birmingham, other Brum history, RFC/RAF material 1917-1919, Redford Barracks Edinburgh 1919, Berlin 1932 etc.)

    Excellent!

One tip for you, so you get picked up in search engines, re-title the home page to something like 'Durham Light Infantry WW2 1939-1945'.

I started with just my Dads Home Guard Company photo and a book. Ive expanded it to include all the Home Guard units in Newcastle. Is not about weapons, equipment and tactics, thats been done elsewhere, its more about the men and women.

I thoroughly enjoy the research side, meeting and listening to peoples experiences.

I recently met a man who fled Germany aged 10 with his parents. They werent allowed to take their savings with them, and from what he said they where quite wealthy. They threw their savings out of the train window, so as not to be arrested at the border.
