Thanks for all the messages advising the radio station has just died, I am speaking to live365 to find out what has happened. Will keep you all posted. Lee
There was a server failure, I do have backups but it will take a long time to upload all the music again. I will do it after I get back from the airshow on Saterday.
Radio Station is operational again Either visit the site at http://www.ww2radio.co.uk or use this link http://www.live365.com/stations/leewisener
Ok thats it all back online, we have over 40 hours of tracks and a full nightly schedule in place, still more to come though!
Great, thanks for the update Lee. Had to go and see the Glen Miller Orchestra on Sat night to get a fix in! Cheers Ryan
Just to point out as well that the license on the station is paid up for another year until Sept 2005. If you have any requests for other material please let me know. Gerry, I managed to find some ITMA programmes and will upload them for you, just had to make sure it was covered by the RIAA license, and it is.
At least that is one benefit being in Eastbourne brings, we get things like Miller, the Squadronaires, and usually all the major regimental bands etc to suit a lot of the community and holiday makers! They were truly fantastic I must say, in fact one of the members, Peter Hughes, who is now one of their permanent members played with Henri Mancini's orchestra, Frank Sinatra's group and recorded even with him and Benny Goodman that is the quality of the band, outstanding talent - and American Patrol was just superb! Ryan P.S. chekc out http://www.glenmillerorchestra.co.uk/ they appear to be in Glasgow and Edinburgh later this year...
Cool, shows you that I need to pay more attention, I never noticed the buttons at the bottom to change month DOH! They are in Glasgow on the 29th and 30th December at the Royal Concert Hall (very posh). I am definately going to see if my wife wants to go to that, it would be great to hear them in action. Cheers Ryan Lee
