Nearly had a photo of Sapper and myself last May on a visit to Swanage - two of us all set - sitting up straight - fixed smiles - fixed smiles - fixed smiles - NOTHING - as he says - his dear wife forgot to charge the camera batteries - but I do think it was his fault......
    Cheers

Hi all, I wonder how many forum members will be in Arnhem this year in September, I guess a good few, maybe those members should, if so inclined arrange a meeting spot at a given time, so all the BOA, students (not nutters) can put a face to a name, (straight after the service on the patch of grass opposite the air dispatchers memorial, by the seat) just a thought, it would be interesting to know how many forum members will be there meet up or not, regards lofty

As mentioned earlier, I have met with Slipdigit once and spoken on the phone with him several times. Also I have spoke on the phone with wtid45 not long ago. When I retire (in about 7 months), I plan on doing some travelling and meet with more members as I go. Looking forward to that too.

Had the pleasure of meeting Rob (Ramacal) as he mentioned, on a scorching hot day in Hornchurch. Also nearly met the mythical Stormbird at same venue but she couldn't make it (probably a dirty plug or something!).
I did wonder if there were any forum members at Aveley MVT last month. I was there both days - it was great. And there was a Dragon Wagon there Adam!

If I managed to convince the forum that Overlord was indeed in Northern Portugal perhaps a few would visit a wee bit more often...

    You think you have trouble...........

    Canuck -
Its not all bad as I have had three visits from Colin Hotham in the past years which adds to my list of Gerry Chester - Ron Goldstein - Sapper (Brian Guy) - and I believe that Owen found himself in the wilds of Vancouver Island fighting off bears etc - so they do know where we are - just hung up on Europe and besides all our battlefields are old like 1812
    Cheers

    Tom,

If I'm going to take a road trip and see some fellow forumites, I'll have to pick my poison. About 5,700 km to the UK, 3,400 km out to you folks in B.C., and some 1,200 km to the group down in Dixie. A tad further to the Aussie/Kiwi crowd.
I may just hop in the car and have a beer with Randy.

If anyone does find themself passing through Toronto at some point, please let me know. We'll put some moose steak on the barbie for ya.

Everyone keeps forgetting about our one and only civil war in 1837. Just because it was fought in a bar and only lasted 20 minutes shouldn't diminish it's place in history. One man actually died!

Are you trying to tell us we live too far away to just hop in the car and visit? :p

    Wendy,
My brash friend who lives in Rich Man's Hill was expressing his request to have you join us for a delicious dinner of moose, caribou and bison. All Canadian gourmet delights.:p
Naturally, Tom would fly in and fight over the bill.

    Randy/ Wendy et al -
and don't forget the succulent sockeye salmon from the Fraser River just a mile away from my door - I'll call our local Indian band for one - we've done well this year about 12 million went up to spawn - all the store shelves are full of salmon - Indians managed to catch 5 million - commercials another five million - sports men had their share as well......
    Cheers
