For those in Edinburgh and its environs, the Centre for Military Research, Education & Public Engagement at Edinburgh Napier University is hosting an exhibition on the theme of Second World War Remembrance and Reconciliation in conjunction with the Consulate General of Germany. It centres on the fate of British Army soldiers killed in Kienholz, Northern Germany, shortly before the end of the Second World War. The exhibition runs from 10-13 November at the Craiglockhart Campus (poster attached) and places can be booked here: https://bit.ly/3VNu846

On the first day of the exhibition launch, the Centre is hosting an afternoon seminar which reflects on Second World War histories of conflict, loss, and remembrance. As well as Debbie Bulau BEM of the Kutenholz Memorial Group, speakers include Professor Sir Hew Strachan, Professor Wendy Ugolini, and Lt Col Neil Morrison OBE (trustee of the Robin Chapel). The organiser is Professor Gerri-Matthews Smith who can be contacted at g.matthews-smith@napier.ac.uk.
