During WW2 our parents "lived for today".
Today we all worry about finances, budgets and our children's future.

We went shopping today, spending a little more than intended.
My philosophy has changed to that of years ago when I was young, living under the Cold War threat of nuclear warfare.
The worst thing that could happen today is to find oneself in a nuclear exchange with excess cash in the bank!
