Has anyone had time to explore the Keikberg area and have anything to report?

We were there in late March and walked along the area where the RHLI position was according to the War Diary in early Dec 1944. It's a wooded area, but quite nice to walk through. We crossed the field from the parking area at Mentozaweg and Zevendalseweg. On the other side, there's a path along the west side of the forest. It's a bit deceiving in Google Maps as they indicate there are several paths intersecting through the forest. Directly across from the farmhouse, there was no path (at least we couldn't find one and even a trail) into the forest. It is hilly in the forest there and a bit of a climb, so we didn't venture too far in.

Quite an interesting experience though. My father-in-law was laying trip flares somewhere in this area in Dec 44 when he was injured by a mine. Wish we had more time to explore. Maybe next time.
