    Hi Guys and Galls,

Finally got a bit of time to recreate the WW2Talk logo in high res for T Shirt printing.

The idea is that it will create a 3 inch (7.5cm) wide image that you or your printers can place anywhere on the T Shirt (left brest, right arm, wherever).
I am creating them at 600 dpi (dots per inch) so that the lines are crisp and if you want they can be enlarged to 6 inches wide and still look pretty good.

I will be doing several versions over the next few days.
There will be two sets for Screen Printing of flat colours and there will be a couple of versions that are for either proffessional printing or for you to use yourself if you have a printer at home and buy some fabric printing film from WHSmiths / Walmart / Amazon etc

There are two versions here depending on what your screen printing company require.

There is one version in TIFF format and one in JPG format. The images are identical, it is just the format that is different. TIFFs are cleaner, JPGs are more universal.

Even though the finished print will be 3 inches wide and about 2/3 inch high, the screens are made for 6 x 6 inch screen printing.

    There are four images
    (1) The background rectangle.
    (2) The text
    (3) The outline for the text
    (4) an image with the pallete for the ink colours to be used

Please note that this version is just the logo. The airmen and soldier are not included

Just as an example, have a look at this T-Shirt the BBC sent to me and other folk who'd helped on the People's Archive. It came with a letter of thanks, a nylon back pack, a BBC pen and a few other other goodies
The BBC Logo is on the front, the website link is on the back.

I have made the original artwork in a way that I can scale it to any size anyone requires so if anyome wants a huge one that will be easy for me to do and I'll upload the bigger files.

Just let me know and it will be done ! :D

    Hi All,

I am working on the "full" logo with the airmen and soldier, but I cannot find a good enough version of the originals. Google image search gives me one that is 600 pixels high or one that is 640 pixels and blurry. Does anyone either have the real poster that they can scan for me or can anyone point me in the direction of much bigger versions of the image, say 2000 to 5000 pixels high?

The screen grab from Google image search below shows the size of the image and it is the second number that has to be huge (actually both numbers need to be huge, but the second one is the hight that I was talking about)

Does anyone know what the soldier image is?

Here is the logo reproduced as best I can for you to print yourself using the transfer paper mentioned above or for you to send to one of those internet T Shirt printers or whatever.

I can do a HUGE one if anyone wants it for the back of their T Shirt... actually, it will only take a minute so I might as well do it for the next post... :D

For all those who want a big logo for your back, this 1Mb file shoud do you :)

It is 600 dpi and will (just) fit on an piece of A4 transfer paper if your printer is set to "landscape".

You could also use it to print a poster. Set to 300dpi it would be 21 inches wide (A3 paper or two pieces of A4) or at 150dpi a whopping 42 inches wide :D

The graphics should work fine for mugs, bumper stickers, underpants ( :p ) whatever you want :D

I would suggest the latter two JPG files for that. The black and white separations are just for screen printing and I think the T Shirt place near me needs a minimum order of ten before they will even entertain you (their loss!)

    Good job all around, Slaphead.

Er, uh, have you perchance ever heard of WW2F.com, sister forum to this fine hole in the ether? We don't have any logos that can be ironed on to apparel.
    hint hint :wow:

Incidentally they're *not* serious. (having done it, i'm not sure if the nd one is an advert for mental health or not, i think itshould have been "obsessed with ww2?" instead).

Definitely calling it a day now. I've spent all day on the train so had waaaay too much time on my hands.

Great effort Slaphead, well done mate. Nice to see that even in these difficult times some people are prapared to do something for nothing to support institutions such as this.
Hope you don't mind becoming a member of an institution?

    OK Drew... Just for you...

    Please find attached
    WW2Talk_Log HUGE WhatIF.tif
This has just the words "We dont do What Ifs" on it so you can place them separately from the logo. The text is on a transparent background (that is why it is not a JPG) so it can be put on any coloured item and not be in a box of any kind.

    And there is also
    WW2Talk_Log HUGE WhatIF2.png
Which has the logo and "What IFS" text combined.
This is in PNG format that is not supported by some printing companies but it is the only format I could save it in that was "small" enough to be uploaded.

    [edit]
    Mr Von POOP sir..!
It wont let me upload png or tif files that are this big (I think png files are limited to 20k or something realy small) HEEEEEEELP !!!!

    [Edit 2]
If anyone wants these files PM me your email address and I'll send them across.

See later in thread fo these
