WW2 lightweight Airborne binos

    Hi All,

    Saw this on ebay and that got me wondering which is not hard ;) as you can see WW2 lightweight Airborne Binos... The person is asking £30 the thing that I find interesting is I also have a pair from a charity shop for £7 just wondering is this was a good find :)

    I got a pair from ebay ten years ago for a fiver without the case and in worst condition. I though they were a good find then.

    They look like opera binos to me. Never heard of lightweight Airborne ones. All the stories that have included binos have talked about standard issue.

    Thats funny as soon as I saw these I thought "they are just like the ones I had given when I was a kid" and I was told they were opera glasses.

    When I first saw these on Ebay I contacted the seller to find out more info about the previous owner. He gave me a name which related to an Officer of the 7th KOSB who was with the Seaborne Tail and not actually at Arnhem.

    The chap was quite knowledgable about the Officer and said that he met him years ago when they were both members of an ex-airborne association............
