    Was wondering if anyone could give me any good names of books war books especially about Dunkirk and the Royal engineers in ww2. Also if anyone has any war diaries of 225 field company of the royal engineers in ww2..

    Would be most grateful if anyone could help.

    Martin,

    It's worth reading the "History of the 7th Field Company R.E, 1939-46" by T.M.J. Riordan.

    Should be able to get a secondhand copy on abebooks.

    The 7th Field Company RE was a sister unit to the 225 throughout the war.

    I'll let you know when my grandfather's 225 history is online.
