WW1/WW2 naval memorial Portsmouth 'Ghosts of the Royal Navy'

    Hi,

    I thought I'd share my 'Ghosts of the Royal Navy mustering at the Portsmouth naval memorial' drawing (catchy title I know!)

    The figures are the spirits/ghosts of the seamen lost at sea mustering by the memorial, from what I understand it could double as the one at Chatham, which is more relevant to me as I have a relative that died on HMS Penzance in 1940.

    The figures might be out of proportion to the monument as I've only seen it from a distance, however let's call artistic licence!

    I the background is the ghostly image of a battleship.

    Great stuff Soren.
    As I know the Southsea (Portsmouth) memorial so well that's really kind of chilling.
    (The one at Plymouth is also near identical.)

    By coincidence I was very recently taking some tank photos in Southsea and also grabbed a few of the memorial:
