Deacs Well i am from Cumbria.

I have just been asked by a mate of mine if a WW1 iron cross which is a class one category in its original box is worth selling has his mother-in-law would like to sell it, he tells me that his mother-in-laws uncle gave it to her when she was 10 yrs old and he was in ww1 by what Steve tells me.

I have know idea what it is worth but it might be worth waiting a couple years for the hundred anniversary of ww1. There will be a lot of interest I think in the great war and we should be coming out of the economic dark times (touch wood).

a true wwI iron cross first class does have a considerable value esp. if it has the original box. however, i agree with wow, if it is practical, i would recommend waiting for the centenaury .
