    Hi,

Just became aware of this book's existence because a local used bookstore posted a picture of books that came in today, including it.

224 pages about Wotjek? Is it worth a read? I know the basic story but how can you fill a whole book about him?

I am really hoping someone here has read it.

The first 30 odd pages he writes about his time in Peru and his work as a stevedore at the docks. He was accused of stealing oranges whilst working there to make marmalade Before he was arrested he jumped on a tramp steamer SS Robertson and ended up at Hel beach in Poland where he managed to get work at a local ammunition factory. The rest of the book is about his time in service
