Hi Guys, I have told my friend about this massacre site/monument is it easy to find from Ieper? I seem to remember that it is just outside Poperighe? Any help appreciated! Soren
Soren if you go to google earth its in between Wormhoult and Esquelbecq. Google says its about a 40 minute drive from Ypres. Head for Wormhoult and then travel West along the D17 to Esquelbecq. Just before you reach Esquelbecq the first memorial is on the left with a Union Flag on a mast. Shortly after this memorial turn left onto Rue des Dunkirk Veterans. Follow that lane for around 1Km and you will see a track on the left that leads to the barn. If you want to visit the cemetery where the murdered soldiers RIP I'll type up the direction for you....It around 4Km away in Esquelbecq. Cheers Andy
