Heimbrant , that illustration is fab !!! I've had a bit of a tipple tonight. i wont lie lol.. I just read through your post and it really made me chuckle.. (not sure it was meant to ;o) ) Did you draw it ? Thanks all of you too, i always thought that Germany started war on us and we had to fight back.. Rachel x I wish! But no, a mate once sent me the link, it's from deviantart. I'd advice you to read some overall history of WW2 first (book or internet), no matter how basic it is. Once you more or less get the big picture it's much easier to go into details and place them correctly.
Rachel, you will find there are four main schools of thought on WW2 history: the Americans won WW2 by themselves twice while paying for the also-runs; the Soviets won WW2 by themselves while the others sat on the fence (this is my personal stand); the Germans should have won WW2 by rights but the others were too many; the Brits would win WW2 by themselves if enough time and Lend-Lease tea were provided.
