  1. In a personal commemoration of this important day, I want to thank the many members of WW2Talk who helped me write a book about my British family during WWII: "Both Sides of the Pond, My Family's War." I started the research in 2010, and many of you (and my family and friends) may have doubted I would ever finish. I did write two other books during this time, but the research for this one was so complex that sometimes I had to stand back from it to understand better what I was learning. I greatly appreciate your guidance, patience, depth of knowledge and experience, and willingness to share it with me. I hope the book will be out in late summer, and would love to know your reactions to this draft of the cover.

    THANK YOU!

    Barbara

  2. Thanks everyone for cheering me on! We now have a slightly revised cover and more endorsements for the book, which makes me very happy. I have learned a great deal (and also forgotten much) over the past 18 years it took me to research and write it. Your advice has been invaluable!

All to keep the memory alive.

    Commendable, and much much more.
