    Hi,

    We are currently working researching the names on our school's War Memorial and would really appreciate any information on the following men - we know the basics but would like more information to add detail to their stories.

    Photos exist of Gleed's Blenheim N3592 coded BL-C after being shot down by AA fire and which crashed beside a main road (D141?) near Fresney.
    3 were sold on ebay in May 2011 by x.fliegerkorps and there may be many others.

    Major John Richard St. Leger Aldworth was born on 11 November 1914.1 He was the son of Major John Charles Oliver Aldworth and Lena Stephanie CecilCollins.1 He married Margaret Jean Giraud, daughter of Edmond Giraud, on 9 September 1940.1 He died in June 1944 at age 29 at Normandy, France, killed in action.1
    He was educated at Rugby School, Rugby, Warwickshire, England.1 He graduated from St. John's College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1937 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.).1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He gained the rank of Major in the service of the Ulster Rifles.1
