Been reading about the 200 men of the Wilts who served in Z Comapny , 2 Hampshires in Archangel in 1919.
    W Company were Hampshires
    Y Company were Dorsets
    X Company were Somerset LI
    Z Company were Wilts.
Numbers being made up with men from another 30 Regiments.

The Hampshires history says the composite 2 Hamps battalion suffered seven killed and missing a further seventeen wounded.
I know the two Hampshire Regt men who were killed.
    Lt Gorman & Sgt Batten.
I've found a Wilts Regt chap , but he's not in my SDGW volume on the Wilts.
(I'm old fashioned , I've got the book not the CD-ROM.)

    Can anyone tell me
    a) More about F Read, 2 Wilts attd 2 Hamps
    b) Who the other casualties were.
    EDIT:-
    Haha!
Found him in SDGW under No2 Works Company he was from Westtyaherley.
    Nope, never heard of it!
I think it's meant to be West Tytherley.
Seems odd to list him as No 2 Works coy.

W Seviour is also listed in SDGW as that & on CWGC.
