Faust has more helmets than me! Boo! But seeing as i have none...
And why is it, when you finally come across a WW2 helmet, upon closer inspection you find some pillock has not only removed all of the paint, but then set about it with the Brasso?
    Why for pities sakes!
    :D

Finally, Sometimes the crowd is a little slow here. But by all means it was meant as a serious poll as well.

I want to be a bit controversial here, so I'm going for the British helmet! Yay! Not only can it deflect bullets, so long as they came in at the correct angle, but it could also be used as a soup bowl or general cooking pot when required. Now that's useful.
    :D

and in its earliest first war razor-edged form could be thrown oddjob-like to behead those pesky machinegunners Hurrah!!!

(and before any American teenagers go 'WOW', sorry but this isn't true (except for the Razor edges));)

The only cool Bond is Sean Connery.

I'm sorry Herroberst but I have to disagree, Roger Moore was the best Bond.

To quote a famous blogger from the Fav Music thread...

    Noooooo!!!
    ;)

I think they should have chosen my contemporary Clive Owen as the new Bond and need to make the movies R rated and better scripts similar to the Bourne Identity. The Roger Moore flicks were laughable on a good day.

Okay so we're supposed to be talking about WWII.

Sean Connery was in the Longest Day:D

Tut, tut, how can you say that? Roger was great, except in maybe 'View to a kill!';)

Yes! A serious thread has descended into farce! Excellent!
But what does everyone think of Daniel Craig? Not good, is it?
As to helmets,i still stand by the Tommy's soupbowl. The Germans wore coal scuttles, and the Yanks had stockings over theirs. How can you take seriosuly an army wearing stockings? I am sure Morse or Oby will now come back with some quote from The Producers.
    Go for it dudes!
    :D
