Hi all. Thanks for letting me join.

Does anyone know the ships and landing craft that carried the 2nd Infantry Division to Omaha Beach? What landing ships or craft unloaded them (which started at D+1)? My priority is finding which ships carried the 9th Infantry Regiment. So far, I’ve identified the transports Samuel B. Goethals (carried much of the regiment) and the Charles Wilson Peake. Yet I think there had to have been more given the Divisions sheer number of jeeps, trucks, etc.

    Thank you.

I love that table - the data, times, visual pictures. Unfortunately, it’s only the June 6th landings. 2nd Infantry Division started landing on the 7th.

Nevertheless, thank you. I do know some elements of the 9th infantry Regiment moved from assault transport to LST to go ashore, and that LST landed troops on D-Day. So this info is still useful.

    Thanks again.
