I came across this group picture amongst my Grandfather's GPR papers - can anyone identify any of the other pilots and the unit?

From his service record these were the units he was in:

    - From 17th July 1943 he was in 1st Battalion GPR
    - From July 1944 was in 11 Flight, E Squadron, No 2 Wing GPR
    - From 3rd August 1945 No 1 wing, F Squadron

He is in the middle row, 5th from the left - Walter John Farnes.

The photo is undated and unfortunately not the greatest quality...

    Cheers

Hi I am Harry Fendick's niece. I never met my uncle as he sadly died from his wounds before I was born. I have been gathering as much information as I can about him so that it can be passed down to the next generation.

I went to his grave with my brother on Monday were there was a profile of his time in the glider pilot regiment. We were very touched by this gesture. I have ascertained that this was sponsored by a person named Thomas is it to you that we owe our thanks?

    Regards

    Linda (nee Fendick)
