    marcus69x I love WW2 meah!!!

I'm off to Amsterdam on Friday (whoo hoo) for a stag weekend and I'm just wondering if anybody knows of any war memorials there and what they are for? After all, you can't spend All your time in the coffe shops and strip shows. Can you?

    51 Highland,

Hi, yeah one of the lads who's coming told us about that. I remember at school, some actor came and put on a show about it all by herself. Brave lass. That was the first time I ever really learned about jews in nazi land.

As regards Anne Frank's house, you should read the museum's website carefully - it's very popular and it's advisable to book in advance. However, they're very strict about using tickets - no transfers, no time changes, no refunds etc. Maybe better saved for a more sedate visit.

Owen sorry mate, I'm proper daft me. Are you saying there's some old photos of buildings on them links 'coz I can't find them. If there is and I'm near their location I'll definately try and take some 'then & now' pics.

What you really want to watch out for is the White Widow...

No try and get hold of those magazines ,from ATB , then they'll have then & now shots in them. Then you could do the "2007 & I'm stoned" shots to go with them.

I've just booked to go to Amsterdam between 5-11th August. I will of course be visiting Anne Frank's house. Is there anything else related that I should see and is there anything that people would like me to photograph?

There is no need to go there for photos, other than to pay your respects. Here's a set of the pictures on Flikr of Amsterdam New Eastern Cemetery. You realise why they called the Netherlands the graveyard of the Airforce when you see that this cemetery has all airforce graves.

If you can spare a day, then I would consider a day trip to Arnhem, buy a Zummertour ticket from the Central railway station, its worth every penny and a good experience. The train journey takes less then 1 hour and the trains leave every half hour.

One good tip is to get to the Anne Frank early as there will be big queues by mid morning.
