I've been researching on the movie, "Where Eagles Dare" and it seems like a really great movie! You guys already know what a conservative movie person that I am nowadays. I was watching a trailer for this movie and there was one scene where one of the characters asks the girl to take her clothes off. Does this scene actually occur or was it just in the trailer? Is there any nudity or sex in the movie? Thanks!
Not that I can remember, I used to love it when I was a kid but it is real "Boys Own " comic book stuff. Daft things like magazines that never empty etc etc I love the soundtrack though. YouTube - Where Eagles Dare - Main Theme ohh...just gone all goose-bumpy.
What a gawd awfull film this is,never liked it,allways thought it was absurd even as a kid,my tip KF is dont waste those couple of long turged hours of your life, maybe strip some wallpaper with a tea spoon instead,a far more productive and interesting time will be had.

One of the best war films ever made. As Owen said 'a real boys own' adventure. It was never meant to be realistic. the screen play was written by Alistair MacLean. One of my fave films of all time. Where Eagles Dare - the unofficial homepage
Good old clint eastwood killing Germans like it his hobby (54 Germans !!) Still, it was a good movie at that time.

Is there any nudity or sex in the movie? Thanks! There is only one scene early where they are kissing. He tells her to take her clothes off as she has to change into other "working" clothes before she goes up to the castle. Very mild indeed! It just lets the viewer know that they are/were in a previous relationship.
I have to admit that I never really liked this film, although I always liked the Camouflage scheme of the JU52 at the end of the film.
While far from being an accurate WWII film, I've always loved Where Eagles Dare simply because it's a really fun adventure film. Of course, having Clint Eastwood and Richard Burton certainly helps a lot, too!
I've always thought it was completely daft. Still, it is true that people of my age can never test a radio or walkie-talkie set without uttering the immortal words: 'Broadsword calling Danny Boy'
Thanks for your help guys! I really appreciate it! I'm getting the DVD today! Let us know what you thought, please.
I feel as though I'm confessing to a secret love of eating Big Macs, but I have to say that I've always loved Where Eagles Dare. Even when my Dad took me to see it at the age of 12, I didn't take it in any way seriously. It's huge fun, the actors breeze through it, the 'Germans' are hilarious ( especially the incomparable Derren Nesbitt ) - and just how much ammo did the heroes carry ? And how did they dry off so quickly after jumping into that river...? And..... There are one or two classic scenes, though - especially the opening shot of the Ju52 where Ron Goodwin's music segues into the roar of the engines. I just can't figure out why WWII lasted so long....especially with Clint Eastwood firing not one, but two MP40s from the hip.....
I saw that movie it was pretty good, the plot was good. Takes place in the German base in the snowy mountain or the alps somewere. A very popular setting, as other gaems and movies take place there aswell.

There are definitely a lot more things to like about "Where Eagles Dare" than not. It is Alistair McLean at his best........! Live with the Helicopter, the MP40's and the near impossible feats and it is a good movie. One of my favourites. You could always put on Monte Cassino instead!
Although inaccurate in some parts of it I loved, "Where Eagles Dare"! That's a classic! I got it finally in the mail yesterday!
Well KF it will remain high on my list! It is not Fact! It is not Historical Fiction! It is pure Fiction. But it is well done!
