What weapons are these men carrying?

What's the weapon carried in the right hand of the chap second from the left? (picture on thread).

    Sorry Chad, can't agree that not a Bren.

    Chap number 4 has a Bren, he's carrying it by the carry handle, the butt is the correct shape & I can see the muzzle is nothing but a bren.

    You can just make out the mag at the back of his hand and then their's the 'pistol' grip :)

    Chap in question looks like he's holding the thompson by the gap between the magazine and the forward grip and has it twisted so we can only see the top of the barrel and not the mag, nor much of the grip.

    I do agree with you on that though, exactly as you explained it.
