My Granny got a 110mm shell from a friend. We have no clue what its from. Can anyone give me info on 110mm tanks or artillery from World War 1 or 2?? Thanks
Hi Nick, http://www.quarry.nildram.co.uk/ammotable12.htm has 2 110mm rounds on it, both German, 1 from ww2, other from great war. The chap who runs the site (home page: http://www.quarry.nildram.co.uk/index.htm) has a forum on there, if he can't answer your question then chances are nobody can, there may even be a picture of it on the 'ammunition' photo gallery...could take a while to trawl through though. Good luck & Cheers, Adam.

thanks von, im not so familiar with tanks and planes, im know more about guns and battles That's cool mate, ignore our ramblings, this place can be good fun when the quality pedantry starts up.... I don't know too much about aeroplanes but I really enjoy it when the Plane-heads get down to arguing about nuts and bolts. Hope you enjoy it here, learn something & keep posting! Cheers, Adam.
o, and by the way you guys, are any of you interested in a m1 american steel pot helmet, its in great condition, if you have anything to trade ill be more than happy to trade with you
Just a brief burst of extra pedantry from me. Sorry, but when it comes to pedantry you are not even in the same league as me T-34, 57mm-76.2mm-85mm
We could even take the pedantry a small step further and consider the Postwar Egyptian 100mm and 122mm conversions.
Ha its not easy to find tank who shot with 110 mm shell If we dont count antitanks and mot. artillery.
