    Hi All,

Had the bill back from the Canadian Archives for 3 Airman.. All three are on the CWGC shows that they are part of 48 Sqn and died on the 18-9-44 and yet at Kew there is no record of them in that Sqn... So at $0.40 a photo and with almost 1000 photos for the 3 records it comes to $404... I think the best way would be to call them and see if I could just get September 1944, but if I got all of the records I would know one way or another....

    Cheers

That's why I engaged one of the Canadian members of this site to obtain the records I wanted that contained details of Aussie casualties, there was no way I could afford to get the entire files from the LAC.

From what I have seen the files are usually huge as they combine the member's personnel file with their medical file and casualty details etc.

The part I really needed consisted of only a couple of pages from each file and the researcher knew how to find the relevant bits for me.

    Are these photocopies?

Here's the Price List and Service Standards for the LAC. 40 cents a piece struck me as pretty darn cheap when you consider the price of actual prints and digital images. So these must be photocopies in PDF format?

Yep, but "we" decided to go for that stupid euro, and ending up spending millions in other countries to keep them in the Euro, with as result "the people paying for it.

The sooner we go out, or kick the others out who do nothing about it the better, maybe even go for the UK pound!
