AH a topic just the way I like it. :p Belgium beers are from the best off the world you know. do you guys know this exellent beers? -Stella artois -Bockor -Leffe -Karmeliet -Gentse tripel -Wevelgemse tripel The last 4 beers are more heavier in alcoholpercentage, but these beers are worth a taste.
Belgium does indeed have a fine tradition in Brewing even if you guys cant hold a candle to the Irish!!! I have tried Chimay, Duvel, Leffe, Hoegaarten, Deleriumtremmins amongst others and find them most agreeable!
-Stella artois I am a little cautious at a beer colloquially known as 'wifebeater' appearing on a list of excellence. Stella seem to be desperately trying to shake off a certain image at the moment... not entirely sure it'll work.
@gotthard:The irish do have got fine guinness. Witch is quite heavy after you drank 3 of them @ Von Poop: I am a little cautious at a beer colloquially known as 'wifebeater' appearing on a list of excellence. Not noticing anything here in Belgium about that, actually.
Stella was/is the 'premium' beer of choice for the Hooligan element for a long while mate, it also gained something of a reputation for 3 pints at lunchtime 'somewhat limited concentration' afternoons at work. It's image in the UK is often as; 'chemical mix that leads to being extremely wasted' rather than; 'beer'. To the extent that they now appear to be marketing it as just 'Artois' in an effort to ditch the negative connotations of 'Stella'.

I reckon that Stella is one of the worst chemical beers going. Personally I don't drink anything made by Inbev. Trouble is now that Heineken have taken over S&N and thus Alken Maes, I can't even have a Grimbergen with a Waffle anymore. I'm not going to start drinking Dutch (or Dutch owned) beer at my age. Not too much of a problem tonight as I is mostly drinking Affligem.
Not too much of a problem tonight as I is mostly drinking Affligem. Sounds like a good way to catch TB... 'Chemical beer' indeed, we used to put 'em all into the bracket of 'chucking Lager', i.e. good for chucking about in a beer-tent, but not much else.
I was going to post a link to Affligem but I see that bloody Heineken owns that now as well. These big brewers buy up beer faster than I can drink it ! Back to the Rochefort then. Slaghmuylder's Witkap Pater is worth a taste if you can get your tongue round it to order as well !
bloody Stella haters I gorgot Geuse to add to my list. Besides Rich Payne I really doesn't matter where the beer comes from as long as it's good and chilled to a perfect draft temperature. (and as loing as it insn't Maes or cara pils :p)
white lightening 3 litre bottle,through a straw,with 2 diazepams and dihydracodeine.then it gets quite frightening..lee.
One thing is for sure. He is really really drunk Look how he's trying to say no when somebody is trying to pull him out of the picture :P
Wieszeckly (sp?) Pies...maybe a Polish member can translate. A nice shot of Vodka, Tabasco and Grenadine.
