you think someone is disrupting the site on purpose just to get kicks?

Sorry for the open question if this is against rules, but is the majority attitude here a case of best to ignore them until they play out their game of ever decreasing circles?

If you think someone is disrupting the site take it to the moderators.

 I can't possibly imagine what you mean...

The circles decrease, and eventually us 'powers that be' get bored and close down the truly disruptive, but in the meantime it's up to you chaps to say, or not say, what you like in response. Your posts are your own.

We like to regard ourselves as normal members first & foremost, or it wouldn't be much fun for us, so we'll usually deploy admin/mod sorta powers as a secondary line of defence, and when the disruption is becoming to the detriment of the main core business of chatting about WW2.

Don't feed the troll has a certain utility, but sometimes I can't blame people for cracking...
Discrete messages to us (by PM, or the 'report post' button) are more than welcome if you think a certain member is being a tool on purpose - it helps us consider action or not.

When I read the thread heading, my immediate thought was 'as little as possible'

I’ve seen some commendable patience on this site, in particular from the lady posting above and thought there must be something in FAQs I’d overlooked.

Thank you for your replies about how to report and so on.

Ignoring or stepping over disruptive comments is my own preferred course of action and I guessed that experienced members on this site were of the same mind. Of course I understand why some people succumb and how trolls wait for this reflex.

So here it is up to the forum as a whole to participate not just the mods alone. Congratulations on the mature way that things are run here, very reassuring.

    Cheers, Callisto
