Hello Raider, Glad to hear that you had a good time this Christmas. This year we had the parents in law and brother in law with girlfriend stay with us. With nine in total, there was never a dull moment. Starting on the 27th we have been dismantling the kitchen to make way for a new one. Have finished installing some of the old units and a work top in one of the basement rooms and it is coming along nicely. Lots of mess everywhere and total chaos, so nothing out of the ordinary with a family of five. I will be glad when the kitchen is delivered next monday and then finished by Wednesday evening if all goes to plan! Here's wishing you and other members a Very Happy New Year. Regards Tom

Have finished installing some of the old units and a work top in one of the basement rooms and it is coming along nicely. Lots of mess everywhere and total chaos, so nothing out of the ordinary with a family of five. Feel your pain, Tom. We did that last year and are still not done. New floor, changed walls, bathroom and shower, stairs, ceramic tiles, the works. Trim and stuff left, but what a job. This year the five of us just had a quiet morning and afternoon and had a friend in for supper. Crapes and Turkey were the order of the day. Thankfully, this year none were sick and we didn't hold a familiy dysfunction! The place is a little quieter now, with one gone and two to go. Mrs and I like our life a little slower and more predictable.
raider was your trip an organised tour , who did you go with? sounds interesting. do you get help with the computer? I'm still trying to work out how a blind person adds an avatar & changes type face. A lot of sighted people have trouble with that. All the best for 2009.
Hi Raider, Fraid I fell asleep on Christmas Day. Twice! The rest of it was spent with the family, and tidying up. Wishing you a happy New Year. Regards, Diane

I cooked a Goose for the first time Best wishes for 2009 everyone ! Andy I always have a goose on Christmas day once you've tried it, there is no going back. Lovely.. PS: We have a huge fore-rib of beef for today's dinner. Plenty left over for sandwiches.
For years, Crepes are the order of Christmas morning [spilling into afternoon as we all age] breakfast. A little maple syrup on them depending on the filling is wonderful. Evening meal varies between turkey, seafood or just picky bits to graze on. Mmmmmmmmm.
Been spending a lot of time with the family over christmas and am now fully qualified in all aspects of Lego-building!!!
