What am I looking at here? A bit of a Buffalo?

    Hi all,

I'm going back to look at some sadly undated photos I have of Archers doing wading trials. In one of them there is this part of a vehicle. Someone at the Tank Museum made a bit of a gaffe I think(???) and said he thought it was a Terrapin Mk II, but from the recent Terrapin thread it looks like that was a wheeled vehicle. Unless there was a Mk II and it was tracked? But I assume this is part of an LVT (Buffalo) of some sort. Is that wrong?

Knowing if this vehicle was produced late might help date the Archer, which I think is probably from the summer of 1945.

LVT4 fitted with applique armor (edit: and an armored cab, of course), I'd say.
