I am interested in learning more about this airfield specifically in these years, or does the airfield hold records. I understand WW2 1941 -1943 that 114 squadron had Blenheim bomber on Intruder Night fighter airfield sorties on Leewarden and Vectha around this time amongst other targets / I am interested in any information on the pilots crews in that era as well as any books ( writings) of that time of this specifically personal or of the Blenheim's and their pilots All seemed to have a very high attrition rate. I just wonder has anything been written about this from Pilots or ground crew perspective. Pilot Officer John Fox flew NZ41320 seconded to RAF during this time being stationed and flew various Blenheim aircraft as his Flight log mentions lots of training flights amongst bombing mission sequences. I tried to post some photos here of these here but appear to large for site. Can anyone direct me to any books or personal stories written or records of this era that are in existence ?? .?
