Just phoned my mate in Pershore, He thinks that the Propeller blade (And, Brass-Silver) plaque were in the Restaurant area of the Star. As he and his wife now don't drink, gave-up 5 years ago, they haven't been to any pubs in Pershore since. 'bout time they started again !
The reply was; Yes it is !

    Cheers L/F,
Looks like it's been moved again, it wasn't in the restaurant last week when we were there.
Next time we go there I will seek out a more senior member of staff who might be able to throw some light on it's whereabouts.

    regards.......Graham.

    Thanks for the link Clive,
Nice to see how the Brandy Cask Hotel looked before it was turned into apartments.(looking rather bland today)
Very nice photo L/F. prefer yours to mine.

My grandmother used to live in the house next door to the Brandy... the upstairs and attic space used to give me the creeps! It wasn’t until I was looking through the history of the house that I realised the tragic events that took place... I found a picture of what the Brandy cask looked like from the crash which may be of interest?

    Hello Moonshine,
Nice photos thanks for posting them.Noted the colour photo of the Brandy Cask, unusual for that time.

Hi Graham, I have lived in Pershore for nearly 10 years and I know the Landlord of the Star. I can promise that they will not know anything about the crash. As for the whereabouts of the propeller I had been in the Brandy Cask before the owner developed it into flats and never did see it there.

    Cheers Roy,
It answers some questions but raises others ?
I have today e.mailed the Pershore Civic Society, who was involved in erecting the blue plaque on the Brandy Cask Hotel to see if they know anything about the propeller.
As soon as I get a reply from them I will come back to this thread.
I have a very busy schedule this week. Tomorrow I have to drive up to Doncaster, stop overnight and return Wed evening.Thursday I'm off to Silverstone, back Sunday evening. (got a relative to move in while we are away.)

    regards...........Graham.

Hi we are fairly sure this propeller is in the Museum above the Civic Hall Pershore. Not been for a while not sure if it there still. But we have a Wellington propeller that was used as a chalk board at the Butchers in Pershore this came from RAF Defford or RAF Pershore . Will follow up for thread
