Hi, I've had this ww2 number plate (photo attached) for some time. It came from Volgograd, the former Stalingrad. It's obviously very corroded but with most of the numbers/letters still visible. It seems the black paint of the numbers/letters preserved the original white finish beneath, and was rescued just in time to show some detail. Most rear plates I've seen are like this but with the two top edges 'cut off'. Kubelwagons seemed to have rectangular rear plates like mine. Does anyone know what other german vehicles had plates the same as mine? I'd like to know the most likely vehicle it may have come from. Many hanks Will
