I used to work in Tottenham, Seven Sisters Pub! only lasted 6 months, never saw the weather or much of london come to think of it! Was run by my great uncle john, lived above the pub so even days off I used to get shouted down to help out. Working for family ok, unless they take the P*&^.

Temperatures rose from 17 degrees Celcius yesterday to 32.5 today and going up to 35 tomorrow. Quite abnormal.

At a safe enough distance to avoid a slap, blustery, wet - Northern Ireland- Can this be true? Having said that 74 or maybe 76 the summer fell on a Saturday! Cheek tongue and in - arrange into get out of jail order!

BH that was somewhat exhilarating! Twice as quick getting home, and not cold at all. Very odd.

Wills you should know, Norn Ir'n summers fall around Easter for a week ... if we're lucky. ;)

Gale force winds up here in East Yorkshire today-neighbours greenhouse just fallen down.
We're a tough lot up here in the North you know-I don't mind the cold but hate windy weather.

There was a school hall full of Yorkshire women all being given an exercise lesson by Jane Fonda.
    "O.K., ladies. Hands on thighs!"
As one, every woman moved her hands and a voice at the back said "What good's that, then? I can't see 'er now!"

We have had some terrific thunderstorms here today in East Yorkshire. Rain has just poured down non-stop for the past 5 hours, think there may be some local flooding.

That just about sums it up: Summer in Yorkshire = RAIN

Talk about extremes of weather in different parts of the country. This is the back garden a few minutes ago. Baking hot.
