I'm setting a bit of a challenge with this one, but does anyone know what the War Department serial numbers were for the Harry Hopkins and Alecto?

I believe circa 1200 were set aside for the HH, but only 100 were used, so would be glad to know what these were.

    Harry Hopkins Mk I
    T119215 - T120154 (940) TM.10104 Metro Cammell
    T120155 - T120414 (260) TM.11244 Birmingham Railway

    Still checking Alecto's

    Cheers

Thanks very much Kevin, that's really useful.

I take it TM 10104 and TM 11244 were the contract numbers?

Yes but I am not sure which contract they were supplied against, could be either or both.

All 100 Harry Hopkins were built by Metro-Cammell's Midland Works, so TM 10104 would have applied. All the Alectos were built by Vickers-Armstrongs at Elswick.

The HH split was supposed to be 900 Metro-Cammell and 300 BRC&W, so it looks like there was a tweak to this before the contracts were actually issued.
