My Grandad, John Woolley was posted to 141 RAC in Jan 44 after being commissioned in Oct 43 but then downgraded to B category (he was wounded at Dunkirk when he was with 4/7 Royal Dragoon Guards).

He was then posted to the Army Kinema Corporation for the remainder of the war - has anyone got any details on this service? He moved around various companies in the A.K.S both with the R.A.C and the R.A.O.C.

He was also attached to the war office for a time in 44 - the code is w.o (s.w.v.2) - anyone know what that means? I caught sight of a document on the internet that i couldn't access which seemed to indicated that it was concened with 'british war office information'...

thx for any help anyone can provide!
