War Memorials Research - Newspaper War Coverage?

I am working on this substantial war memorials website detailing individual biographies of the men who worked for the Northern Bank / Belfast Bank in Ireland / Northern Ireland during the Great War, WWII and the Northern Ireland conflict.

Northern Bank - War Memorials / Roll of Honour

A research colleague gave me a disc containing daily newspaper clippings from a 'Belfast News Letter' series called 'Ulster at War' for every day during the Great War. The men & women mentioned each day had a connection with the North of Ireland / Ulster area.

See my site for some of the circa 100 individual clippings I found for the men from the Great War who were employed by these banks.

The daily information ran for 1, 2 , 3 or more columns and were sorted by deaths, missing, prisoners, awards, London Gazette items, etc with officers getting larger fonts than the other ranks.

My query is whether anyone is aware if any Northern Ireland newspaper undertook such research and published it daily during WWII? Whilst I have not yet visited the Belfast Newspaper Libray, i would be interested in knowing how this sort of data would be presented? Could I extract jpg / jpeg files from the data etc?
