This is to let you know that the Irish War Memorials website has been completely redesigned, and has improved search facilities for finding memorials, places and persons. It is possible to search the 24,000 persons by name, to see all the memorials in a particular county or town, or all the memorials to a particular conflict or regiment/corps/service. You can then see photographs of the memorials, and the inscriptions, and print off a transcription of what is written on the memorials, with information as to where the memorial is, and when it can be viewed. There are 2,471 names of WW II casualties. You can view it here. There are, of course, many more yet to be recorded. Belville
Great new look to your site Michael. Looks like a lot more hard work went into the new design. Latest one by me, if you are interested: http://ww2talk.com/forums/topic/52943-downpatrick-war-memorial-co-down/?hl=downpatrick
Thanks, Diane, I got a very good company to do all the work! Downpatrick is there already, in fact. Michael
