There is an article in my local paper about a gentleman who traced and photographed every one of the 270 graves of service men killed in the London Borough of Harrow in WW1 and WW2 .The highlight of this gentlemans search was finding the grave of a one" Bombardier Douglas Henry Bone " died in 1943 aged 23 who had been recorded on the Brookwood Memorial in Surrey as simply missing.
