War Graves in UK - Hampshire

    yeah, the pics are quite small unfortunately. you can hardly make out any of the writing on the headstones. I think its because - sadly - there are quite a few to fit onto each page :(

    Southampton Old Cemetery is being allowed to 'return to nature.' Promises have been made that the 104 War Graves will be looked after, which will need careful checking as they are dotted around the cemetery.

    Hi Wills,

    Do you live near there, if so and if you want to you can adopt a grave or graves and become a volunteer, email the CWGC with you intention to do so and they should have no objection to this.

    Don't know if the original poster found what he was looking for, but I've noticed more and more war graves appearing on flicker, like this
    It's now my first port of call after ww2talk for headstone pics.

    Kbak- Thanks for the picture - I did already have some but another is always welcome - I didn't realise that I had not updated this thread... with all those already obtained (now done!)

    RemeDesertRat -thanks for that link (another picture borrowed) - I do browse Flickr and other sites very now and again to see if any have been added.
