War Graves in Malta

    There are 231 RAAF and 3 "Australians in the RAF" in Graves & Memorials in Malta.

    I have had an offer from a local to photograph all of these. People are really generous with their time.

    I dont suppose your chap could get me my two from the following cemetery whilst doing yours?

    Pembroke Military Cemetery

    Boland 6283806 4 Buffs (REKR) att SAS 22/3/1941 5.5.4

    Thompson 6978732 2 RIF 20/3/1942 1.3.18

    Any help gratefully received ( and I thought I had a load of cemeteries to be visited!:D)

    Thanks for that info Annie.

    CWGC has the cemetery written as "Capuccini"! Is this an error or an alternative?

    Do you know which is correct?

    They are two different cemeteries Geoff ! One belonged to the Admiralty and the other belonged to the Capuchin Franciscan Monks ... this may help explain the different cemeteries !!

    One of the photos on the CWGC site had it saved as Cappuchino!

    I have 1 Recce grave at
    IMTARFA MILITARY CEMETERY Malta

    56th Regt Reconnaissance Corps

    Trooper JOHN WHEATLEY grave 3. 3. 22.

    Any help appreciated.
