Thanks for the photo Vitelliono and look forward to the Whyte one.

Ramacal, your absolutely right on the Giles one, I've got it saved on my computer but for some reason I didn't update my list at the time and missed it when redoing it for this thread (I picked up a couple of other ones - I better have another run through).

    Cheers

Thanks once again, very interesting to see the small plaque as well, I don't suppose you got a close up of the message on it did you? I wonder if a family member has visited recently to remember him

    Thanks

    Alastair,

This photo was taken by a friend a mine a few years ago when we decided to photograph all the gravestones in Orvieto CWGC. I can't remember the exact year but it might have been 2010 or 11. We have now put all the photos on a memory stick so anyone else requiring a photo from this cemetery please send me a private message and I will get one to you straight away..

I have a selection of photos for Foiano War Cemetery and can also take photos by request in the Assisi War Cemetery if anyone is interested and not in a hurry to receive them.

Slightly difficult to find as it is not a CWGC style headstone and the grave number is 1192 and not 192 as indicated on their website. What a tragedy to lose three children in such a short period of time.

    Hi Frank,
Thanks for the offer, nothing for me, may be worth popping up a new thread if you plan visiting as its possible someone is on the lookout.

    Cheers

Jumping on to this thread, and any others which/who need a grave photo, there is a web site called Find a grave .com
an international 'thing' where people upload images of graves & information. People can also request photos and it's sort of a grave geocachin, for us Taphophiles
