Hello, Would anyone have the war diary for this chaps date of death? I'd like to know what happened, he was one of 13 brothers ( I am told ) that were killed, however find it hard to believe CWGC - Casualty Details SHUTTLEWORTH, FRANCIS Rank: Private Service No: 106 Date of Death: 15/06/1915 Regiment/Service: The Loyal North Lancashire Regiment 1st/4th Bn. Panel Reference Panel 27 and 28. Memorial LE TOURET MEMORIAL Additional Information:
It's very unlikely he will be mentioned by name in a WWI war diary but it might record something like "3 o/rs killed in shelling". The National Archives reference for the war diary is: WO 95/2887 1/4 Battalion Loyal North Lancashire Regiment 1915 May - Dec in case no one has it and you'd like a copy. Lee
