I have been collecting copies of these over the years and have started to transcribe and publish them as quickly as I can. To save time I have not done anything with the numerous and lengthy annexes (usually fire plans, etc.) though.

What I have done so far can be seen at War Diaries For G Battery (Mercer Troop) Royal Horse Artillery

More will be added when time permits. At present they cover 1944 to 1946.

I also have some great pictures of the Battery to view at Men of the Desert Rats. Go to the 5 RHA section and scroll down.

Hi everyone. I was recently fortunate enough to visit the History Room of G Parachute Battery (Mercer's Troop) RHA and was able to obtain copies of the three pages of the Diaries of December 1944. There is not a copy of these at The National Archives and nor do they seem to want to add them to their collection so here are the pages for anyone who wants to seem them

I am pleased to advise that I have now completed the transcription of all the War Diaries for G Battery (Mercer's Troop), Royal Horse Artillery, for 1939 to 1946. This has taken about five years, but I feel that it is worth it.

The diaries can be seen at War Diaries For G Battery (Mercer Troop) Royal Horse Artillery.
